Studio Cycling (Indoor cycling, Spinning®, RPM™) et al, is the most popular form of class training that is growing all the time. During classes, members are on stationary bikes for usually 45 minutes.

There is a warm up period and pre-main set when expert instructors set goals and visualisation. Riding to the rhythm of music, the instructors will challenge the class with progressive exercises throughout the class (over the weeks and months of consistent class training, class members can reach levels of fitness that they never thought possible). At the end of the class there is a recovery period that is extremely efficient.

These motivational and inspiring classes can be taught to different levels of members at the same time, improving physical fitness, stamina and strength, as well as mental strength. These classes are also used by top level sportsmen as part of their training programme.

It is also possible to train all other sports on studio cycling bikes especially team sports.

Using sports psychology principles and physical training elements, incredible results can be achieved.

Equipment

The only equipment needed is a group of stationary bikes and a good instructor.

There are many different bikes available in the market. For more information, contact Rick Kiddle at the internet-spinoffs office.

The National Studio Cycling Register (NSCR) holds a database of Instructors and Clubs who run Studio Cycling Classes. Please refer to the NSCR Office to find out details of classes and instructors near you.

Instructor Training

The NSCR also offers a range of Instructor Training Courses. Below are details and costs for individuals. Clubs can contact us for a daily rate (discounts are given to Full Members of the NSCR).
